Going to see Spiderman 3 on a bank holiday, what the hell were we thinking!? Sold out and queues out the door at the first place we tried, hoards of irritating kids who were most definitely not over twelve or acumplinied by an adult at the second. Thus a no-go. Even though I've seen the reviews, it's still a shame...
BUT got me home in good time for the first update of the sparkly new Lime & Violet Shop to buy possibly the world's most beautiful skein of sock yarn. As a treat to myself for finishing university, or that's what I'm telling myself anyway :)

Hi, Laura. It was nice to hear from you. Too bad about the job. I would think a degree from Oxford would open any door. It would impress the socks off of anyone over here, believe me. I'm sure things will work out in the long run.
While I was in Maryland, my family went to see Spiderman 3. They said it was really good. I hope you get a chance to see it soon.
My daughter, the Lush fan, wants me to ask you what your favorite Lush product is. We just received an order from them -- shampoo, a bath bomb, lip gloss and conditioner.
Have you heard Lime and Violet's latest podcast? The vampire thing had me falling off my chair with laughter.
If the lab thing doesn't work out, you should open a REALLY GOOD yarn store in Oxfordshire. We know there's a need! I bet it would be a hit.
Take care and good luck.
Penny
